Vacation Rental

Welcome to our adorable one bedroom cabin, the Cetacean Station. Located at the Klipsan Beach Approach, it’s just a few steps to the Pacific Ocean and world renowned “longest beach” – 28 miles of sandy beach to walk, drive, explore. Cozy up with a book or a game in this fully stocked beach cottage. This tiny cabin has everything you need with a full kitchen, 3/4 bathroom, living room, bedroom, and fire pit. Most importantly though, enjoy the feel of sand between your toes as you relax on the beach, just a short walk down the beach approach.

Location

Cetacean Station beach cabin is located on the Long Beach Peninsula in gorgeous SW Washington State, along the Klipsan Beach Approach, where a person can drive directly from the road and onto the beach. It is steps away from the Pacific Ocean -about two regular blocks- and one mile from Ocean Park, where groceries, restaurants, espresso and other amenities can be found. Visitors interested in beachy town vibes and activities like go-karts, miniature golf, farmers markets, and more restaurant options will want to travel to the city of Long Beach, ten miles south.  There’s much to do in town and around the local area, including hiking, fishing, clamming, wildlife preserves, kite flying, and cranberry bog exploration.  The cabin is located on the same piece of property and shares a yard with the primary residence, but privacy is no problem if that’s your desire. We are happy to offer suggestions or let you explore on your own.

Cetacean Station is named after the whales and dolphins that live and migrate in the waters of the Pacific Ocean – they are of the order Cetacea having the general shape of a fish with flippers, a tail with horizontal flukes, and one or two blowholes for breathing.    Sometimes whale and dolphin sightings can be found at Cape Disappointment State Park, which is not very disappointing at all, along the south end of the Peninsula, with views of the Pacific Ocean and the mouth of the Columbia River.
